One Year Older and Wiser Too

Yesterday was my 20th birthday, and I still can't believe the I am that old. Oh man, how time flies. Looking back on this past year of laughter, smiles, hardships, joys and tears I have learned so much. I guess the saying, "one year older and wiser too" could be applicable, but I am still working on the latter part. So much has happened this last year and crazy to think that life still continues on. I have met so many amazing people, been in hard classes, gone through hard times and keep on learning. I am so thankful for all of this because these experiences have shaped me into who I am today.

First off I want to take a moment to say how blessed I am to have amazing people in my life. I have such a wonderful family who sent me special gifts even though that took time and effort on their part. Even being away from home I can still fell their love for me. Second, I have such great friends and roommates. All day I was wished "happy birthday" and every time I couldn't help but smile. I even got way excited when I looked on my Facebook profile to see postings of HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I mean what can you say, it is Facebook, lol. All of those wishes truly made my day. Then a group of friends took me out to lunch, and then my roommates along with close friends took me out to dinner. This simple act really made my birthday special. I felt so much better and knew how much I am loved. Thank you all for your wonderful wishes, they mean so much!!!

I also feel it is necessary to list some of the fun times and memories this past year for me...so I hope this can bring a smile to the face!

1. I am no longer a TEENAGER, oh my!
2. My first year at college was completed.
3. Was in my first official relationship.
4. Had the experience of attending school over the summer.

10.Gained a better understanding of friendship, sister, and roommate.
11.Watched fireworks on the top of a roof for 4th of July.
12.Staying up until 2:00 am to do "homework" when in reality its a movie!
13.Loosing my apartment keys and finding them in the freezer,lol...
14.Always meeting new people and making new friendships!
15.But most of all, to know and learn more about my Savior, Jesus Christ, and to strive to become more like Him each and every day.

These are just a few fond memories. I know there are so much more, and I am so blessed for this wonderful year. I am excited for the beginning of my 20th year…it is going to be great. So bring it on!! :)
